Comforting Angels

This painting is of a woman in prayer, at the moment her prayers are being answered. Often our prayers are answered by angels- seen and unseen- in the form of friends, family, and loved ones who have passed on. It is a sacred moment to realize God's hand in our lives, and a reminder for us to see that angels are among us.

This is a tribute to the angels in our lives who often come in the form of loved ones, mortal and not, who aid us in times of need. Through them we gain greater strength, faith, and awareness of the reality of the love of God in our lives.

This painting depicts two scenes; that of a handcart company trekking west, and their parting glance of the Nauvoo temple, as seen from across the Mississippi. This image of the temple would have been the last memory they had of their beautiful city and the temple they labored to build. The company is not alone in their journey, as they are accompanied and guarded by angels along the way.
