"From Darkness to Light" by Simon Dewey depicts the Savior healing a blind man. It is currently available in two print sizes. It is a touching gift for those who are sick or to use as a lesson aid in classes or home study.
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. ~ John 12:46
I have always been taken by the dark and light used in Rembrandt's paintings, and the old masters' use of shadows and light. I used the shadows and light coming in to be symbolic of the man that was in darkness and through the healing of our Savior, being brought to the light. Although I'm sure that Christ was in bustling streets with people all around him, I liked the idea of a quiet scene, perhaps that Christ had seen this man who was blind, and came back alone, without ceremony or public display and healed this man that had had this condition for his entire life. ~ Simon Dewey
