I love the Gospel of John. The opening verses of chapter one are at once poetic and sublime, simple yet profound: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....In him was life; and the life was the light of men. To each of us on this journey home, John’s powerful witness of the Savior remains a guide as we come to realize the reality of it for ourselves. We beheld his glory, the glory as of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
