The product itself in person is beautiful and much larger than expected. Unfortunately, within 3 days on my husband's keychain it had come unscrewed from the cap and he lost it. My son found the outer wood holder, but the inner vial is gone. Not sure if it can be used without the inner vial... Maybe some sort of teflon tape around the top might help?
I really like the way this looks and feels in my hands. The outer container is well fashioned, but has no way to secure the barrel to the screw top. While the wood coming up against the brass you can feel fairly secure that it's not just going to fall off, I am a bit concerned what will happen as time goes on. I lost my last vial holder because it loosened up and fell off. I knew this when I bought it, so I didn't drop the rating at all, but perhaps this could be reviewed for the next design revision? Perhaps adding in a small bail clip? The inner oil vial is plastic, and comes with a lid that has a small oil dropper on it. It's very convenient for getting just a drop on the head of the person you're anointing.
My Bishop gave me a free Vial not too long ago and it leaked so much every time I ran and sprint, and it would occasionally clip off because the screw was so bad. When I bought this Bethlehem Olive Oil Vial my problems vanished away. After having it for over 3 weeks there has been 0 Leaks, Its securely safe in a glass container inside the Vial which is protected by a small Cotten ball all the way at the bottom which I find pretty convenient. If you play sports alot while having this clipped on your waist, it wont fall off and leak, and that Cotten ball definitely protects the small glass container inside. As a newly ordained Elder Overall beautiful craftsmanship I highly suggest this be your first pick when buying a Vial to carry around your Consecrated Olive Oil.
