As the Church announced this past Monday that an additional 18 Temples will be reopened for live sealing ordinances, many of us naturally feel an excitement and a longing to visit the Lord's house. The wonderful Spirit that permeates the walls is something many individuals have deeply missed during the spread of COVID-19, which caused the temporary-closures of Temples throughout the world.
There once was a story a Bishop told about a young boy who lived in a remote area of South America. Sadly, the closest Temple was far too long of a journey for him to take, but when the missionaries would teach him about the blessings of the Temple, he knew one day he would make it there. During one lesson, the two missionaries decided to explain the importance of holding a Temple Recommend. The young boy was astonished when he realized he too could get a Temple Recommend even though it would be quite some time before he could make the journey to his nearest Temple.
