Choosing a Christus Statue
Our Christus statues are replicas of the Christus by Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, the statue of the resurrected Savior with outstretched arms that stands in the Church of Our Lady in Copenhagen. Today the Christus is closely associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is featured in the Church's symbol. Many members keep a Christus in their homes as a daily reminder of the Savior's invitation to "come unto me."
Each statue is cast in durable polyresin with a smooth white finish that captures the detail of the original, while staying lighter and more affordable than stone.
