This print by Simon Dewey depicts the Biblical story of the widow's mite. It is a great reminder to give all we have to God. It makes a good gift to those you admire who sacrifice for the Lord, including ministering friends and family members.

This is a 5x7 unmatted print on high-quality gloss card paper.

    Artist Note:

And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. (Mark 12:43-44)

We don't know the age of the widow who cast in all that she had. I decided to put a younger woman with children in the painting rather than an older woman. This, I thought, better represented the sacrifice that the woman made. Even as others were depending on her, she put her trust in the arm of God rather than the arm of flesh. The man in the background, giving only of his surplus, is a reminder to us to be generous and kind to those in need of our support. ~ Simon Dewey
