With quiet majesty, artist Simon Dewey portrays the Savior in this piece entitled "Divine Redeemer." It is available in unmatted and matted print sizes. This simple portrait makes a touching gift for any believer and is especially good for baptisms, missionary farewells, and ministering.
Artist Note:
I believe that an image of Christ is a very personal thing, and I take a great deal of personal responsibility in painting the Savior, my Savior. I wanted to convey in this painting both His strength and His sensitivity. To go through everything that He did for us and yet He was sensitive and caring enough to recognize and heal so much pain and hurt. I wanted to capture the gentleness in his eyes, the strength in his chin, a determination and willingness to be strong for us. The red in his robe is symbolic of His sacrifice and regal divinity. I wanted to paint this picture without a background with nothing to distract from his features and his countenance. ~ Simon Dewey
