I love that they now have more affordable options for color scriptures that aren't the genuine leather. I love my new scriptures, but there are some things to be aware of:



-The main picture for this item seems way darker than the actual color. I posted a picture of mine in natural daylight. Subsequent pictures on the listing that are lighter are more true to the actual color. They are definitely more of a lighter purple than dark. Still a nice color, but don't go off the main picture.



-I assume this is true of scriptures bought anywhere, since I think they're all the same inner pages regardless of whether you buy them through the distribution center, here, Deseret Book, etc. But the printing has changed to China vs US. A change that I noticed when I compare them to my old set from 8 years ago are that the book is about a quarter of an inch thicker, as the pages are slightly thicker. This is not a bad thing, as the printing doesn't show through the page as much in this new printing. But be aware. Also, the binding seems to be tighter, as my old scriptures open more fully. These ones curve more when opened and are difficult to write in the inner margins. They may relax over time, I don't know.



Overall I am very happy with them. Shopping was a good speed considering the customization time, everything arrived very well packaged and as ordered, and quality looks perfect.
