As we enter March, those little hints of Spring can start to be felt in a variety of ways. The days are getting longer, the sun is out more of the day, and there’s a general feeling of renewal that is beginning to fill our days. During those first initial days of Spring, there is always a strong feeling of renewal and of course… Spring Cleaning!
Although actual Spring Cleaning is a fantastic opportunity to clean our physical spaces, there’s an even greater feeling of “Spring Cleaning” our minds and behaviors. It’s a similar feeling as to when we began the new year, setting resolutions and goals for what we wanted to achieve this year. Many of us have probably wavered a bit on some of those resolutions, but Spring gives us another chance to renew and stay committed to what we want to do.
One of the best ways to do a little “Spring Cleaning” of our minds is to find great new books to read, and maybe a journal to record our thoughts and impressions. At LDS Bookstore, we have a huge selection of inspiring books to help clean both your external and internal space. Scroll through a selection of some of our favorites.
In volume two, with mobs threatening to drive them from their homes, thousands of Latter-day Saints flee Nauvoo, their gathering place for the past seven years. This second volume in the four-part history narrative of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a must read for everyone.
The first in-depth look at a highly significant LDS Figure, Elijah Abel that sheds critical light on the real history of Abel's dedication and religious convictions in the face of enormous adversity.

Drawing from the very best of Hugh Nibley, this collection of excerpts feels more like a guided tour through a brilliant mind than a quote book. With highlights drawn from nearly 10,000 pages of the Collected Work of Hugh Nibley, The Essential Nibley continues to give thinkers something to believe in and believers something to think about, even today.
In Amazed by Grace, Sheri Dew discusses each of those important questions, exploring a topic that she describes as being central to the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
"This is your world. The future is in your hands. The outcome is up to you." With those simple words, President Thomas S. Monson urges a generation of young adult members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to find the best within themselves.
In this book, Elder Andersen writes especially to those who are "awakening" unto God--those who are just beginning to discover or who seek the divine gifts and power of repentance and forgiveness in their lives.
