Visions of Glory

I am in the process of reading this amazing book. There are so many beautiful, provoking thoughts that have come from this book. I am now beginning to see the worth of myself and those around me. I feel as though this book was inspired to come to me at this time so I could learn and understand what Love is and many other things. Heavenly Father loves and cares for each one of us individually. He knows our mind and our hearts. He wants for all of us to fulfill our true potential and return to him. I can't wait to finish reading this extraordinary book! I would recommend this book to anyone who needs to feel the Savior's love and wants greater understanding of his/her purpose on the earth, or if you're just curious and need a new book to read.

Visions of Glory

I've read this wonderful book twice and am in the process of reading it a third time. I recommend it to anyone with a basis in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I found it very inspiring, enriching my thoughts and my prayers. Much of what the author saw was metaphorical in nature, symbolic, a likeness, not necessarily an absolute depiction of exactly what will happen. Read it and see if it inspires you.

Visions of Glory

The first half of the book was very riveting, but I felt very uncomfortable while reading the second half of the book. Many things shared were confirmed to my LDS beliefs, but I have not finished the last third and set it down a week ago.

Visions of Glory

I appreciated that this book broadened my perspective on the last days, angels interactions with us, and agency.

I think the reader needs to keep in mind that this is not scripture, simply one man's visions and his experiences for himself to profit by. Some of it is isn't literal. Do I believe he had these visions? Yes, it's very sincerely and frankly written. I never felt uneasy or uncomfortable reading it.

It was fascinating and gave me a lot to ponder. It gave me hope and assurance. I have a stronger desire to be more prepared for the last days.

Visions of Glory

Great book with a lot of insight. Author also makes it very clear that information he provides is based on personal revelation from the Lord meant to teach himself, and not church wide revelation. He also makes it clear that many things in his visions are probably symbolic. I'm so glad he shared his experiences. I would definitely recommend this book.

Visions Of Glory

David B. Haight told the whole membership of the church about his visitation of Christ appearing to him. He said it in a general conference talk. It was not “wicked” or unrighteous for him to relay that message.

Obviously it’s ok to talk about these things when God says it’s ok.

This book has so much to it. It was very enlightening. Read the afterword at the end of the book and he says some things in the book are literal and some things are metaphorical. You have to get your revelation on what the experience might be trying to relate.

Visions of Glory

It took me about 12 months after purchasing this book, several years ago, before I started reading it. I was a little afraid to read it. However I'm on my 2nd reading. I read a great deal of personal book reviews before so I wasn't shocked. This book IS fantastic. But I tried telling my Bishop about the book, then backed off when I saw the look in his eyes. Love that guy and I didn't want to scare him in thinking I found a new religion. I have an intense testimony in the Gospel, in my faith of the Savior, Joseph Smith, and the Book of Mormon. But I have a better understanding of our life on earth and the life hear after. I told my sisters (and mom) about it several years ago. I told them to read as many reviews before they read it. 2 sisters are confused by it but youngest sister has read it multiple times. My advice: don't read it if you don't have a burning testimony of the Gospel...otherwise you want to read it.

Visions of Glory

Prayerfully read this book and remember that it is HIS vision and what the Lord chose to show HIM for his growth. That being said, I personally felt enlightened and uplifted and joyful at the thought of how the Second Coming "may" play out. And now that we've gone through a Pandemic and an Earthquake recently, I'm anxious to re-read this again and take better notes. I am a calm, be prepared for whatever comes, but live every day joyfully not in fear of what may come. This made me wake up and want to stay MORE anxiously engaged in good causes.

You are a quack if you buy into this.

This is not doctrine, nor is anyone able to receive revelation for more than themselves. People who stray away from the plain and simple truths of the gospel because they want to feel "more informed" or like they know something others don't are doing so at their own eternal peril.
