Healing through the Savior: The Addiction Recovery Program

We definitely need more accessibility for the new manual, please.

Recording someone reading, or having an AI model read the model would make this accessible for those who are hearing impaired, as well as for those who want to use the manual by listening to it.

Finding a more economical way to print this and then creating a printed version at cost would also make a lot of sense because a primary purpose of this book is for ministry.

I just would typically use mine a lot but unfortunately misplaced mine often and as a very newly graduated college student, I can't afford to keep buying them at the moment, at the current cost.


Based on the title, I believed that the word healing would replace the word addiction throughout the manual. I was surprised to learn that this wasn't the case, so I feel like the move to focus on healing. I wasn't as effective as it could be. Making the focus of healing central throughout the book or more explicitly defining addiction as President Nelson did, as anything that we make our God, could help bridge that gap. I think it would be really effective if it was created in a way that was on the level of self-reliance manual, but also sensitive to the fact that it will be utilized most effectively on an individual.

Updating the descriptor the manual to express the core purpose of increasing faith. In Jesus Christ, and access to his redeeming, atoning power, would also help ensure that the audience has a pure understanding that the book has been created for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This branding would help avoid any confusion that the book is about drugs such as LSD or centered around cultural phrases which have been clearly renounced by a prophet of God, mainly LDS. Remember the promises of using the correct name of the church.

Of course it's a great manual, just wasn't what I expected. These types of changes could help make sure it has the broadest reach, and quite honestly, the blessing of the Lord to play the role in gathering Israel that I believe He would intend.

Perfect book, will use it everyday

This is a fantastic tool that should be used early on in marriages and family study program. We are all missing the mark in some ways. The goal is for us all to grow closer to the Father and our Savior and to allow the atonement to bless our lives. This inspired guide allows us to do just that.
The title of this guide needs to be changed to something like "Inspiration and strength through the Atonement " encouraging everyone to have a copy next to their Scriptures and Come Follow Me materials.

Looks to be an excellent source for those really searching for recovery

There needs to be a pocket sized one so that we can conveniently take it around with us, to work or wherever. Content is 5-star. Another suggestion would be to put QR codes with helpful talks, or to pre-recorded meetings, the 12-step videos. but at least a pocket sized one
